Leslie Javette Roberts is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She is a graduate of the historic Frederick Douglass High School. Upon graduation, she was accepted and matriculated at Spelman College where she earned a B.A. degree in English Literature with a minor in Mass Communication. One month later, Ms. Roberts also graduated from Roberts’ School of Cosmetology earning her certification as a licensed nail technician in the state of Georgia. Two years later, she furthered her education and became a licensed instructor. In 1992, she stepped out in faith and opened her nail salon (Love Your Nails Salon and Spa) which is presently still in business. During this time, she was able to go back to cosmetology school and become certified as a licensed cosmetologist and later a cosmetology instructor. In 2004, Ms. Roberts also graduated from Central Michigan University with an M.S. in Business Administration.
Aside from her educational accolades, Ms. Roberts is also a foster parent. Her specialty in training is for children with difficulties of care. She is a member of Ben Hill United Methodist Church and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Furthermore, she is also actively involved with community projects led by SCLC Women in Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Roberts has earned numerous awards and accolades through her business and community involvement. She is the proud mother of one son, James-Wesley Jones.
